What to Expect

Community

We look forward to meeting you! Please feel welcome to stay after service to meet our pastors and hang out with other church members. We would love to find ways to get you connected as well.

If you would like, fill out a digital connection card so we can get to know you better.

Sunday School

There are many Sunday school classes here at our church. These classes start at 8:45AM and go until 9:45AM. To join a Sunday school class, speak to any of our class leaders.

 Parking

We have a large parking lot located on East Orange Street, so don’t worry about finding a spot. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the parking spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.

Attire

Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval--that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church might wear ties, others like to remind them that Jesus never wore a tie. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you'll see both.

Shippensburg Church of the Nazarene Church Ministry

Kids

Kid’s church is available during both worship services. Our Kid’s Church director, DeVona Cordell and another volunteer will sit with them during worship in the sanctuary. Once worship ends, they will guide the kids to the youth room for a short and fun Bible study.

Shippensburg Church of the Nazarene Worship Service

Worship Service

During our worship service, we sing songs, listen to scripture, pray together, listen to a sermon from one of our pastors, and receive the benediction. Feel free to watch one of our online worship services to get a feel for what Sunday will be like.
