What is Junior church?

Junior Church is a time where the 3rd-5th graders of the congregation are able to receive a comprehensive lesson about Jesus Christ and other various Christian topics. The kids join the congregation for worship in the sanctuary. They walk with the staff to the Education building for their lesson during the sermon portion of the service.

Nursery for infants through 2-year-olds is also available for families.

 

How do I get my kids involved in Junior Church?

Once you arrive at the church let DeVona know that you have kids you would like to drop off for Junior Church. She will sit with them during worship and walk them to the Education building during the sermon portion of the service.

 

Meet the Director

Elizabeth Clark

Elizabeth has been a member of Ship Nazarene for many years. She is married and has 3 children, Kayla, Jimmy, and Lily. She is also a grandmother (aka Gaga) to 4 wonderful grandsons who enjoy coming to church with her each week. She is a 1995 graduate of Westmore and community college with an associate’s degree in Human Services and Early Education. She has worked with children and their families for over 20 years. Her hobbies include painting, ceramics, being outdoors, going to movies/drive-ins, and spending time with her family.

Elizabeth is committed to her faith in Jesus Christ. She works hard to teach children to love Jesus. She hopes to plant seeds of faith and blessings found in our Savior in the hearts of the kids.

 

Safety

All staff is required to have child abuse clearances. Parents will be notified they are needed during service.
